HI, WE’RE AVA AND ANNIKA

Photography has always been our way of understanding the world. Growing up sharing a camera, we spent our childhood documenting each other, making short films, and turning everyday spaces into sets. We were always finding ways to play, experiment, and bring our imaginations to life.

Our work explores girlhood, identity, and the intimacy of people. We’re drawn to images that feel spontaneous and alive, capturing honest and real moments. We love finding the interesting things about the person in front of the camera while leaving room for something surreal to unfold.

As identical twins and creative partners, we bring different perspectives to every shoot. Annika is free-spirited and always coming up with creative ideas, while Ava is detail-oriented and loves curating, directing, and bringing all the pieces together. We balance each other out and have so much fun creating together.

Now studying commercial photography at SCAD, we’re continuing to explore our individual perspectives while growing together as creatives. For us, photography is a way to connect with people, explore ideas, and turn the things we’re curious about into something we can share.
